Selling a product people have never seen before

Dominant Series is not a familiar off-the-shelf book. The website had to explain a deeply personalized object, make the creation process tangible, and carry that story all the way into format selection, delivery, and payment.

Scope I owned

A full product story and the technical path that makes it purchasable

I created the structure, wrote the website copy, designed the editorial system, built the responsive site, and configured the order, payment, questionnaire, and delivery-related integrations.

Created by me

  • Product positioning and information architecture
  • Russian website copy and explanatory flow
  • Editorial art direction and UI system
  • Responsive design and frontend development
  • Format selector and order form experience
  • Payment and delivery-calculation paths
  • Questionnaire handoff and integration setup

Provided by the client

The client supplied the core identity and product photography. I turned them into a complete product and purchase experience.

  • Logo and brand materials
  • Product photography
  • Integration materials and account access

Explain the unfamiliar

The page has to teach before it can sell

A personalized book with 150–200 pages is difficult to grasp from a cover image. I built the opening around the emotional idea, then made the contents, dominant themes, visual material, and use cases concrete enough to understand.

The copy moves from curiosity to substance instead of asking for a purchase while the product is still abstract.

Make the site feel like the object

The editorial system previews the ownership experience

Burgundy, generous cream space, serif typography, fine rules, and product-led photography give the page the rhythm of a considered publication. I kept controls and form fields cleaner and more neutral so the visual language never gets in the way of ordering.

Remove invisible work

Customers need to know what happens after payment

The creation process is part of the product: choose a format, pay, complete the questionnaire, send photographs, and receive the finished book. I turned those backstage steps into a visible sequence so the purchase feels understandable rather than mysterious.

  • Separate printed book, gift certificate, and PDF formats
  • Explain questionnaire and photography requirements
  • Keep delivery and completion details near the order decision

Commerce is content too

Format, shipping, and payment belong to the same narrative

I designed and developed the selection and order flow rather than sending visitors to an unrelated checkout page. Printed formats reveal the address and delivery calculation they need; digital formats stay lighter. The integration logic follows the chosen product.

Responsive editorial design

A luxury layout cannot depend on a wide screen

Large headlines, product imagery, long explanations, format cards, and form controls all needed different mobile behavior. I designed the small-screen hierarchy so the site still feels deliberate while the order flow remains practical to complete.

Functional outcome

One live experience from first explanation to a paid, configured order

The finished site makes an unusual personalized product understandable, shows what will be created, explains the process, offers distinct formats, calculates delivery where needed, and carries the customer into payment and the follow-up questionnaire.
