MalixCode vs. Housecall Pro: Choosing a Website for Your Business
Your customers need to understand your services, see your work, and easily request help. You need a way to collect those inquiries and keep the details organized.
MalixCode builds websites and custom tools for HVAC, plumbing, construction, and other service businesses. We agree on the pages, features, and development price before work begins. After final payment, you receive your website’s source code.
Housecall Pro offers ready-made software for running a service business, plus a website add-on. Below, we compare website features, custom development, and what you receive when the work is complete.

Let customers skip extra form questions
MalixCode
Available: We can make extra questions optional in a custom form.
Housecall Pro
Restricted: Every field added to the built-in Lead Form is required.
Custom forms, layouts, menus, software connections, payments, and customer portals must be included in your MalixCode project plan. Pricing depends on the work involved. An estimate request form collects an inquiry for your team; it does not automatically create a finished estimate. MalixCode packages and terms.

Pages and Forms That Fit Your Services
For an HVAC company, this could mean different pages for AC repair, system replacement, and seasonal maintenance. A construction company may need project pages and questions about a planned remodel. A plumbing company may need a clear service menu and a short request form.
For example, a form can require a name and phone number while leaving the equipment model optional. A homeowner can request help even if they do not have every technical detail ready.
You Receive Your Website’s Code
After final payment, you receive the files another developer can use to continue working on your site. Source code is the set of files a developer uses to build and update a website.
Moving the site to another hosting provider is reviewed and priced separately. It depends on the software, accounts, database, and third-party licenses involved.
If you already use Housecall Pro, you can choose MalixCode for your website and keep your existing business tools. We check the available connection options before quoting the work.
Housecall Pro supports ready-made integrations. A custom connection through its public API, which lets programs exchange data, requires the MAX plan. Not every Housecall Pro feature is available through that API.
This comparison covers your website and the tools listed above. Dispatch scheduling, GPS, technician apps, automated texts, and full estimating and invoicing systems need a separate project plan. Ready-made versions of these tools are not listed in MalixCode’s current packages.
Project Pricing and Running Costs
Website development is $1,800 for Basic, $2,500 for Pro, and starts at $3,200 for Advanced. Basic includes one page and Pro includes up to six. Advanced’s pages and features are agreed on for your project. The CRM is included with Advanced or available as a one-time add-on to Basic or Pro starting at $700.
Domain registration, hosting, paid third-party services, future changes, and ongoing maintenance cost extra. Fixes for technical issues in the agreed work are included for one month with Basic and Pro, and two months with Advanced.
Tell us about your services and what you want to make easier. Before development begins, we’ll agree on the pages, features, price, and files you’ll receive.
