MalixCode vs. Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan & Buildertrend

Compare website design, custom features, costs, and whether you receive the website’s code for your HVAC, plumbing, or construction business.

What you get for your website

This comparison covers the website your customers see. Keeping customer records, assigning crews to jobs, scheduling, and managing construction projects require separate tools and services.

Each section compares all four companies.

Official sources and comparison notes
  • Housecall Pro builds websites for you. A dash means we could not confirm from public sources whether you receive the code, can move the website, or can request custom development.
  • Scheduling Pro adds booking to an existing site. Website services from partners in the ServiceTitan Marketplace have separate agreements.
  • For Buildertrend Custom Website Services, §2.5 limits design to templates and excludes custom code. Section 10.3(a) does not allow code delivery, website export, or moving the site to another host. The content you provide remains yours. The older Pro Website Services offering has different terms.
  • This comparison is based on published documents. We have not tested the products ourselves. Your final agreement defines the work included and your rights.

Why choose MalixCode?

Built around your business

We plan your service pages, project examples, and contact forms around your business and how customers reach you.

One team handles the build

We plan the pages, write the text from your business information, and design, build, and check the site. You provide the details and approve the work.

You receive your website’s code

After final payment, you receive the agreed source code, files, and instructions. Source code is the set of files a developer uses to build and update your website. Another developer can use it to continue working on your site.

Project terms

Pay 50% before work starts and 50% when the site is ready. We agree on the pages and features in advance. For the first month after launch, we fix technical problems with the work we agreed to deliver.

Your domain name (website address), hosting, and paid services from other providers are separate costs. We quote extra features, connections to other services, and ongoing maintenance separately.

Materials and services from other providers still have their own licenses and terms. We review the work needed to move your site to another hosting service separately.

Puzzle Construction: help customers request an estimate

We built a site with seven categories of renovation services, website text, pages designed for phones and computers, and contact forms. Homeowners can choose a service, see related projects, and request an estimate.
