This table shows who does the work. Wix also lets you hire a professional separately. Here, we compare building a Wix site yourself with hiring MalixCode.
Your part: provide accurate business information, photos you have permission to use, access to the accounts we need, and feedback. We agree on the pages and features before work starts.

Carolina Massage: a custom website with familiar booking

We planned the pages, wrote the text, and designed and built the site using the practice's logo and photos. Visitors can find massage services, session lengths, prices, hours, and contact details.
Carolina kept using MassageBook. Links on her website take clients to MassageBook to book and pay for appointments. We built the website; MassageBook handles the booking.

The website project
Pay 50% to start and 50% when the website is ready. The agreed fee includes up to two rounds of changes to the page structure and two to the design. For each round, send your feedback in one list.
Costs after launch
Your domain name (website address), hosting, renewals, and paid services such as booking are separate costs. With DIY Wix, budget for the website plan, domain renewals, any paid apps, and your time.
Updates and support
For one month, we fix technical problems with the work we agreed to deliver. Text and photo updates, extra pages, tools to edit the site yourself, connections to other services, and ongoing maintenance are agreed on separately.
Compare the same website needs over the same 12-month period. Include renewal costs and any payment processing fees in your total.
Get your website’s source code
After final payment, you receive the finished site, agreed source code, materials, and instructions. Source code is the set of files a developer uses to build and update your website. Your agreement defines your rights. Software, images, and services from other providers still have their own licenses and terms.
A site built with Wix Editor or Wix Studio must use Wix hosting. Your own content belongs to you. You can download some data, including content collections from the Wix content manager (CMS) as CSV files. This does not let you move the working website.
With the source code, another developer can continue working on your website. Moving it to another hosting service depends on its software, database, accounts, and licenses. We quote the cost of moving your site separately.

Wix offers search engine settings, custom domain names, booking, payments, and apps. Availability depends on the plan and terms. This comparison does not suggest those features are missing or promise higher search rankings or more clients.
We checked these sources on the date above. Plans and terms can change. MalixCode wrote this comparison and offers website development services.
